Junior AI Engineer

KamelPay is seeking a curious, driven, and technically capable Junior AI Engineer to join its fast-growing regulated fintech team in Karachi. The successful candidate will work on practical AI solutions designed for real-world financial technology applications.

The role provides an opportunity to work across Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), document intelligence, OCR, Python backend development, intelligent data processing, and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Areas of Work:

• Develop and support Machine Learning and predictive models.
• Build LLM-based applications and implement prompt engineering techniques.
• Develop document intelligence and OCR-based solutions.
• Build and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs.
• Develop intelligent data processing and automation workflows.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to create practical AI solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop, test, and deploy AI-driven applications.
• Continuously explore and learn emerging AI and Machine Learning technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, or strong academic, freelance, or open-source project experience.
• Fresh graduates with strong AI/ML projects or contributions are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Python programming fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning basics.
• Practical knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with FastAPI and REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
