OPay Pakistan is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead and oversee critical payment operations, including merchant settlement, transaction reconciliation, chargebacks, disputes, POS acquiring, refunds, reversals, exception handling, reporting, and operational controls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely merchant settlements, maintaining effective reconciliation processes, managing payment disputes and chargebacks, and coordinating with banks, payment processors, merchants, card schemes, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage merchant settlements and payouts.
Oversee daily transaction reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.
Manage chargebacks and dispute-resolution processes.
Oversee POS acquiring operations.
Handle refunds, reversals, exceptions, and transaction-related issues.
Develop and maintain MIS, operational reports, and control mechanisms.
Coordinate with banks, processors, merchants, payment schemes, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor payment transaction flows and ensure operational accuracy.
Support risk management, compliance, audit, and internal control requirements.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to payment operations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
4–6 years of relevant experience in Payments, Banking, Fintech, POS Acquiring, Settlement, Reconciliation, or Chargebacks.
Strong understanding of the payment transaction lifecycle and merchant settlement processes.
Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
Understanding of risk, controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or a related field.
ACCA, CA, CIMA, or MBA will be considered an advantage.
